Detailed product description
The use of anti-perspirants and deodorants has come under a lot of controversy due to aluminum-based ingredients commonly used in these formulations. Experts are saying aluminum may be connected to Alzheimer's Disease and some cancers. Subdue™ Deodorant contains no aluminum. Subdue™ is a safe, effective deodorant.
Key Benefits:
- Deodorizes the skin without sensitizing effects.
- Non-irritating.
- Goes on drier.
- More effective than ever at stopping body odor.
- Aluminum-free.
Subdue™ provides healthy, effective 24-hour deodorant protection without inhibiting the natural perspiration of the body. Part of the body's natural detoxification process requires perspiration for the release of toxins and heavy metals. If this process is blocked, serious health complications may result. For this reason alone, it is easy to see why a "deodorant" is better than an "anti-perspirant."
Key Ingredients:
- Farnesol is a gentle ingredient that occurs naturally in Sandalwood, Lemongrass and Petitgrain Essential Oils. It is effective (without sensitizing the skin) in inhibiting the growth of the bacterium that cause body odor.
- Zinc Ricinoleate helps to neutralize odors (without sensitizing the skin) while allowing the skin to respire naturally.
- Bisabolol is a natural component from chamomile that supports the healthy appearance of skin while providing natural deodorizing properties. This is especially useful for stressed or sensitive skin in supporting against minor skin irritation and minor inflammation.
- Lichen Extract is a natural ingredient supporting against harmful bacteria and fungus (without sensitizing the skin).
Independent test results have shown that Neways' new and improved Subdue™ Deodorant is both safe and effective.
Neways has developed skin care products that truly work with the delicate processes of cleansing, supplementing and balancing. The goal is to enjoy beautiful, radiant, healthy skin.
Remember, Neways' Subdue™ Deodorant Does NOT Contain Aluminum. Subdue™ contains natural, gentle ingredients to effectively combat body odor. Without question, Subdue™ is the better choice. Read more about Aluminum...
Aluminum: Why It Should Be Avoided
The popular use of anti-perspirant deodorants containing aluminum chlorohydrate, the chief ingredient used in blocking perspiration, has become controversial. Aluminum has been linked to disorders affecting the nervous system and brain cells, and is thought to be one of the factors contributing to Alzheimer's disease and breast cancer.
Aluminum is a metal, the third most common element in the environment and a toxin in the body. You'll find it in processed foods, anti-perspirants, deodorants, antacids, paper products, beverage cans, foil and cookware. Alzheimer's disease is now the 4th leading cause of death among the elderly, behind heart disease, cancer and stroke. A half century ago it was virtually unheard of! What do the studies show:
- The World Health Organization conducts studies on chemical pollution and the elderly... "There is a suspected link between Alzheimer's disease and the toxicity of aluminum... autopsies have found high concentrations of the metal in the brain of people who had suffered from the disease." - from Public Health Reports, Nov-Dec 1993, v108n6p798(2).
- Studies linking aluminum to Alzheimer's disease... "The evidence is strong enough that the prudent person will eliminate all food and cosmetic sources of aluminum and will use aluminum cooking utensils only if they are coated," suggests Gary Price Todd, MD, author of Nutrition, Health and Disease. - from Natural Health, May-June 1993, v23n3p54(2).
- Dr. Daniel Perl, Director of Neuropathology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, suggests "...avoid aerosol antiperspirants. Aluminum in aerosol may be more readily absorbed into the brain through nasal passages." - from The University of California, Berkeley Wellness Letter, April 1993, v9n7p1(2).
- "Aluminum-containing antiperspirants are designed to be absorbed, and studies show that regular use of these products can raise the risk of Alzheimer's by as much as three-fold. (also)...municipal water supplies treated with alum (aluminum sulfate)...at least 7 studies show that people drinking water high in alum are more likely to develop Alzheimer's" - from Natural Health, May-June 1993, v23n3p54(2).
