You need water and you need oxygen. If you exercise, you need a lot more of both. Athletic Super Water® provides the body with super oxygenised water to quench your thirst and support enhanced uptake of oxygen and nutrients.

How to use

For best results, drink 300ml to 500ml 15-30 minutes before as well as during and after physical exercise (training, outdoor work, etc.) to replace body moisture lost through perspiration. See LifeSport Product Guide below:

Consume full bottle within three hours after opening to obtain the benefit of the highest oxygen concentration.

Storage

Refrigerate Athletic Super Water® to minimize loss of microclustered water while the cap is off. Refrigerate Athletic Super Water® after opening (if possible). Freezing Athletic Super Water® does not alter the oxygen concentration or change the microcluster property of the entrained oxygen after thawing.

Keep Athletic Super Water® out of intense heat.

Detailed product description

Athletic Super Water® contains up to 10 times more soluble oxygen than normal tap water - oxygen that can help fuel working muscles and biosystems.

Athletic Super Water® is a convenient supply of both oxygen and pure distilled water in a microclustered form for rapid bioavailability to the body. The body can exist for long periods of time without food, days without water and only seconds without oxygen. Yet the importance of oxygen is often overlooked because it enters the body through the involuntary act of breathing. With microcluster technology, significant amounts of oxygen can be contained in purified water. Athletic Super Water® can assist in overcoming hypoxia and cellular dehydration.

Water plays a key role in body chemistry and the fight against disease and lack of energy.1 ,2 Hypohydration during exercise and hard work affect thermoregulation3,4 (internal temperature rise), heart rate (reduced stroke volume), reduced peripheral blood flow, perceived exertion, perspiration onset (delayed)5, weight loss, perspiration efficiency, and cardiac output6.

Hypohydration increases heat storage via a reduced perspiration rate.7 Cardiovascular drift (increased heart rate and reduced stroke volume) changes proportionally to the rate of hypohydration.8 In addition, hypohydration at 2% or more body water levels has been shown to cause significant deterioration of mental functions (e.g. arithmetic ability, short-term memory and visuomotor tracking).9

Heat-induced dehydration causes significantly greater losses in plasma than from exercise-induced dehydration.10 To maintain appropriate body water levels, approximately one-half ounce of water per pound of body weight, per day (or at 32 ounces/hour during periods of exercise)11 is needed for the body to function properly. Continual intake of water during the physical recovery period (cool-down) reestablishes cellular hydration.12

Oxygen is critical for muscle function. Various states of hypoxia occur as a result of physical exercise, high altitudes, exhaustive physical labor, pregnancy, obesity, physical inactivity, age, asthma, smoking, confinement to small rooms, air travel, air pollution and sitting posture. Hypoxia conditions can cause fatigue, dizziness, exhaustion, headaches, memory losses, sleeping disorders and circulation problems. Increased ventilation rates, volumes, air oxygen content and healthy lungs ameliorate the oxygen-hemoglobin levels.

Oxygenated water intake has been shown to enhance the performance of distance runners.13 In this randomized double-blind study of 25 individuals (ages 21-54), the average decrease in 5000m time trials over those receiving the placebo was 15 seconds. Among the highly fit individuals, an average time decrease of 31 seconds was reported.
